Royal Challengers Bengaluru star Virat Kohli shared a heartwarming moment with his wife Anushka Sharma after the conclusion of their opening Indian Premier League 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Kohli was seen exchanging flying kisses with Anushka following RCB’s dominant six-wicket win, capping off a memorable night for the team.

Batting first after losing the toss, SRH posted 201/9, with Ishan Kishan leading the charge through a brilliant 80-run knock. Despite the strong total, RCB chased it down comfortably, reaching 203/4 in just 15.4 overs to kickstart their campaign emphatically.

Devdutt Padikkal (61) and Rajat Patidar (31) provided aggressive support, while Kohli anchored the innings with a classy unbeaten 69 off 38 balls. Meanwhile, pacer Jacob Duffy was named Player of the Match for his impressive three-wicket haul in the first innings.

Delighted after guiding his team to yet another successful chase, Kohli celebrated the win with a special gesture, sharing an affectionate exchange of flying kisses with Anushka before joining his teammates in the on-field celebrations.

“Always prepared, give 120%”– Virat Kohli

Speaking after the match, Virat Kohli spoke about his preparation ahead of the tournament, stating:

“It was good to get back out there. You mentioned T20 cricket, yes the last game was last year. But, my ODI form helped me. I have worked hard on my fitness behind the scenes, and it’s great that it’s coming off. Well, the amount of cricket we’ve played over the last 15 years, these kind of breaks only help me than keep me undercooked. I always come prepared, come out 120 percent!”

Applauding Devdutt Padikkal for his attacking innings, he remarked:

“Outstanding knock! I had plans of going hard in the power play, but, Devdutt batted magnificently! When he started going, I told him not to stop. His balance, absolutely world-class! I’ve watched him from close quarters, he can only get better!”
