Bhuvneshwar Kumar , a fast bowler from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, produced an excellent delivery that resulted in the dismissal of Ryan Rickelton in the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur in IPL 2026 match.

Rickelton was in great form coming into the game, and it was predicted that he would be able to help Mumbai Indians make a fast start. However, Bhuvneshwar utilized his expertise effectively in a condition where there was some added bounce and small cracks on the pitch. He kept up with his playing style by delivering hard length deliveries rather than full deliveries, making it difficult for batters to score runs.

Bhuvneshwar delivered his second short-of-length delivery on the last ball of the first over outside off stump. When trying to hit the ball with a lofted shot, the ball struck the top half of the bat since it bounced high than Rickelton had intended it to do. In mid-off position, Rajat Patidar, the RCB captain, caught the ball easily.

The second wicket fell when Bhuvneshwar used his knuckle ball to dismiss Rohit Sharma. Rohit was batting very well and had already scored 22 runs from just 10 balls with two fours and two sixes. Bhuvi bowled a slower knuckle delivery at 116.6 kph, which confused Rohit completely. The MI opener tried to play an attacking shot away from his body but only managed to get a thick edge. Wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma dived to his right and took a sharp catch behind the stumps.

Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed on the next delivery after he had not scored any runs. Bhuvneshwar bowled a full delivery outside off stump with some seam movement. SKY attempted to hit the ball hard but he lost control and the ball went to first slip where Virat Kohli made an excellent catch.

Mumbai Indians faced major difficulties after they lost their third wicket in the first three overs of the match.

After seven overs, Mumbai Indians reached 57 for 3 Rohit Sharma scored 22 runs from 10 balls while Naman Dhir who had just entered the game still needed to score. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an excellent opening over and gave away only 4 runs while taking the big wicket of Ryan Rickelton. Tilak and Naman is playing now on 17 and 16 runs respectively.
