KL Rahul showed good batting form during the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 match between Punjab and Karnataka until Harpreet Brar executed an exceptional play which ended his batting performance. The moment turned out to be the most talked about event of the game which attracted fans to social media platforms.
Karnataka required a strong beginning to reach their 310-run target on Day 2 and Rahul provided that requirement through his performance. The experienced batter opened the innings with Mayank Agarwal during which he demonstrated his batting skills by maintaining control throughout the chase.
The 28th over of Karnataka's batting innings served as the crucial moment which decided the match outcome. Harpreet Brar delivered a spectacular delivery on the fourth ball of the over which completely deceived KL Rahul. The left-arm spinner produced sharp ball movement on the pitch but Rahul anticipated a direct delivery which he played according to.
The ball instead spun away from his bat path and struck the middle stump instead. All three stumps remained visible to Rahul who stood in disbelief. The Karnataka opener had to return to the dressing room after he completed his innings.
