During the second ODI against Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Friday, Pakistan all-rounder Salman Agha was at the center of some controversy. A controversial run-out of the Pakistani batter by Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz became a major talking point of the game, with Agha appearing to be furious walking back to the pavilion.

The incident took place in the 39th over of the innings while Agha was looking good to score. Being part of an innings-saving partnership, Agha has already scored a vital half-century, with the unusual dismissal stealing the limelight.

Strange Run-Out Creates Big Drama

The incident took place on the fourth delivery of the over when the Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz served a flatter delivery to Pakistan batter Rizwan. Rizwan hit the ball towards the right of the bowler while Mehidy Hasan Miraz ran across to stop it and collected it by his boot.

In the meantime, the Pakistani all-rounder Salman Agha was in Mehidy's way and both collided, with the ball ending up near the feet of the respective batsmen.

In the confusing mix, Salman Agha was still out of the crease. While instead of trying to reach the crease safely, he made his effort to take the ball from Bangladesh captain and throw it at him.

With the Pakistani having been trying to be gentleman, the Bangladesh skipper seized the opportunity, took the ball in his hand and under-armed at the stumps at which the ball hit and it led to a run-out. The appeal from the Bangladesh players was upheld after going to the third umpire who confirmed the decision.

Heated Exchange Between Players

The decision taken by the umpire did not go down well with Pakistan's Salman Agha who started an argument with the Bangladesh skipper, Mehidy Hasan Miraz on the field. The situation escalated when both the players started abusing each other.

With the heated debate continuing for a while, Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das also jumped in to defend the skipper. Mohammad Rizwan, however, came into play and managed to calm both the players.

Talking about the dismissal, the decision was confirmed by the third umpire due to the fact that ball was not dead when the Bangladesh skipper had thrown the ball at the stumps. Hence, the dismissal isn't unfair at all.

Before the controversial run-out, the Pakistan all-rounder Salman Agha scored a composed 64-runs off 62-balls with seven fours and two sixes, helping the visitors to a solid batting position.

His fall signaled the end of an important partnership and handed the hosts a crucial breakthrough in the death overs of the innings. Despite all this, Pakistan managed to reach 245-5 after 40 overs. With 10 more overs to go, Pakistan will look to extend the score and take it over 300, while Bangladesh will try their level best to restrict the visitors from scoring big.
