Adrian Lewis makes televised return at MODUS International Pairs – How to watch and format
Kieran Cleeves/PDC

The MODUS Live Lounge in Portsmouth will once again take centre stage for a week of top-class darts as the second edition of the International Pairs gets underway from 25–30 August.

Twelve nations will send pairs to compete in this unique event, with international pride on the line and a strong field looking to etch their names onto the trophy.

The inaugural tournament, held back in May, saw Dutch duo Jimmy van Schie and Danny van Trijp claim the honours. The pair return this month to defend their crown, but they’ll face a much tougher challenge this time around with several big names involved.

Among the headline stories is the comeback of two-time World Champion Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis, who makes his long-awaited return to the oche after a two-year absence. Also in action is crowd favourite Steve Beaton, while 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor will be part of the presentation team on finals night, adding extra prestige to proceedings.

Format

The competition begins with three groups across the week:

Group A: Six teams, playing Monday to Wednesday from 8:30am. The group winner advances directly to Saturday’s Finals Night.

Group B: Three teams, playing Thursday and Friday evenings from 9:00pm.

Group C: Three teams, playing Thursday and Friday afternoons from 1:00pm.

The top three pairs from Group B and the top two from Group C will join the Group A winner in the final stage on Saturday evening. There, the remaining teams will contest a mini-league before the semi-finals and the grand final determine the champions.

The climax takes place on Saturday 30 August from 6:45pm, promising all the drama, intensity and atmosphere darts fans have come to expect from the Live Lounge.

Free to watch

Every session of the MODUS Super Series International Pairs will be streamed free of charge on YouTube, giving fans the chance to follow the action throughout the week and see which duo emerges victorious in Portsmouth.
