Stephen Bunting has underlined his consistency on the PDC Pro Tour by reaching his eighth final since the start of 2024. His latest run — culminating in victory at Players Championship 18 — puts him level with Chris Dobey for most final appearances across the last 18 months.
‘The Bullet’ defeated Jermaine Wattimena 8–5 in the final on Wednesday, securing his second title of the year following success at April’s International Darts Open. After suffering six final defeats in 2023 alone, Bunting is enjoying a far more productive 2024, and his strong form has helped lift him to fourth in the world rankings.
Dobey, nicknamed ‘Hollywood’, has also made eight Pro Tour finals during the same span. He’s picked up two titles this year and was runner-up in another, proving his status as one of the Tour’s most consistent performers.
Right behind them are two young stars with seven finals to their name. Luke Littler may have only made one Pro Tour final in 2025 so far, but he made it count — defending his Belgian Darts Open title in style by beating Mike De Decker in March. The 18-year-old had reached six finals the previous year.
Northern Ireland’s Josh Rock has also made seven final appearances on the Pro Tour in the last 18 months. ‘Rocky’ has one win and one runner-up finish this season, while five of his finals came in 2024.
A quartet of players follow closely with six finals apiece: Gary Anderson, Dave Chisnall, Luke Humphries, and Ryan Searle. All four continue to feature prominently on the Pro Tour circuit and have remained regular threats deep into tournaments.
With the PDC Pro Tour now on a short break, attention turns to July, when the 20th Players Championship event of the year takes place in Leicester on the 8th.
Today Stephen Bunting made his 8th Pro Tour final since the start of 2024.
