Bradley Brooks’ long-awaited maiden PDC title at Players Championship 21 has earned him more than just silverware — it’s also placed him among the sport’s youngest-ever first-time winners.
At 25 years and 139 days old, ‘Bam Bam’ now ranks 19th on the all-time list of youngest players to win a PDC tournament, rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in darts. His 8-5 win over Gerwyn Price in Leicester marked a career milestone and a return to form for the former World Youth Champion, who only regained his Tour Card earlier this year.
Brooks becomes the latest name added to a list that is topped — quite comfortably — by Luke Littler. The teenage sensation shattered records in January 2024 when he lifted the Bahrain Darts Masters at just 16 years and 363 days old.
Dutch duo Danny Jansen and Michael van Gerwen round out the top three. Jansen, now outside the Tour Card ranks, won Players Championship 9 in 2022 at the age of 19 years and 321 days, while Van Gerwen claimed his first ranking title way back in 2009 at 19 years and 351 days.
Other standout names include Michael Smith, Adrian Lewis, Josh Rock, and Max Hopp, all of whom claimed their first titles at 21 or younger — underlining the value of early breakthroughs in shaping a player’s career trajectory.
Brooks now sits just behind Wessel Nijman, who was 24 years and 97 days old when he won PC24 in 2024. That means Brooks becomes the second-youngest player in the past two years to earn a spot on the top 20 list.
The full table of youngest PDC winners reflects both changing trends in the game and the growing wave of emerging talent. While established names like Dimitri Van den Bergh, James Wade, and Jelle Klaasen all appear on the list, they now share the spotlight with a new generation — one that Brooks has firmly rejoined.
With the World Matchplay looming and confidence riding high, the question now is whether this will spark a second wind in Brooks’ career — or even more names breaking into the leaderboard before the year is out.
