Gian Van Veen leads the way for treble 19 hitting amongst PDC Stars

‘DartsOrakel’ has shared new data on X showing which players hit treble 19 the most, with Gian Van Veen coming out on top. The young Dutchman appears to have taken inspiration from darting legend Michael Van Gerwen, and he’ll be hoping to follow in his footsteps with a similarly successful career. Van Gerwen is known for his mental toughness, grit, and a cabinet full of trophies—qualities Van Veen seems eager to emulate.

Van Veen recently stepped in for Van Gerwen at the World Cup of Darts after the Dutch icon withdrew from the event. With a strong average of 44.23% when aiming at treble 19, there’s growing belief that Van Veen could become one of the top-ranked players in the world if he continues to improve and maintain his consistency.

With five players featured in the list, it was Gian Van Veen who came out on top, ahead of Krzysztof Ratajski, Madars Razma, Gerwyn Price, and Gary Anderson. Some of those names might come as a surprise—particularly Price and Ratajski. However, Razma is an obvious inclusion, as he often scores heavily on treble 19s and tends to favour that segment throughout matches.

At first glance, it is perhaps surprising to see Van Veen at the very top, especially since he’s known for being so dangerous on the treble 20s—something I’ve always seen as one of his biggest strengths. But on reflection, it actually highlights just how well-rounded his game is. His ability to score so consistently across different segments shows the signs of a truly world-class player—both now and in the years to come.

After an impressive performance at the World Cup of Darts, there’s growing optimism that Gian Van Veen can push on and earn a spot in the top eight of the PDC Order of Merit before the season wraps up. With several major tournaments still to come—ending with the World Darts Championship and its huge £1 million winner’s prize—Van Veen has a real chance to climb the rankings if he continues to deliver strong results.

In summary, whether it’s the treble 20 or the treble 19, Van Veen has shown—both on stage and through the stats—that he’s more than capable of competing with the world’s best. If his form continues, it may not be long before he becomes one of the best himself across the entire board.

Keep an eye on Gian Van Veen in the near future as the Dutch powerhouse aims to turn his impressive stats into long-term success on the Major stage.
