Karel Sedlacek as expected qualifies for Czech Darts Open via Host Nation Qualifier

Karel Sedlacek secured a spot at the Czech Darts Open 2025 via the Host Nation Qualifier on Thursday. In addition to "Evil Charlie," Filip Manak, Lukas Unger and Jiri Brejcha also managed to qualify for the Euro Tour tournament in Prague.

In advance, Sedlacek was the big name in the field of participants. Adam Gawlas, another well-known Czech dart player, was absent from the qualifying tournament. Petr Krivka, who was present at two Euro Tour tournaments earlier this year, did not manage to qualify.

Sedlacek did not really have any problems securing a starting spot at his home tournament. The 46-year-old consecutively dealt with Lukas Seliga (6-0), Daniel Bohony (6-0), David Fidler (6-1) and Dalibor Smolik (6-5). Only in the final did 'Evil Charlie' face serious opposition, but managed to keep his cool in the last leg.

Jiri Brejcha also attended the Czech Darts Open last year, losing 6-2 to Ritchie Edhouse in the first round. So this time he managed to qualify for the final tournament again by beating Jan Ales (6-1), Matej Vybiral (6-3), Jakub Sarkozi (6-2) and Michal Smejda (6-3).

Filip Manak also managed to qualify for a Euro Tour tournament for the first time in his career with victories over Jan Fukar (6-0), Ondrej Plsek (6-4), Lukas Krecek (6-5) and Vitezslav Sedlak (6-4). And finally, Lukas Unger is also making his debut at the Czech Darts Open after being too strong during the qualifying tournament for Daniel Markovsky (6-0), Pavel Drtil (6-1), Jindrich, Ulrych (6-3), Vlastimil Jasek (6-3) and Roman Benecky (6-5).
