Often the spotlight shines on Littler and it has done throughout this Premier League Darts campaign but on the one shot night, the play-offs is a lottery and while fans got the dream final it was Humphries that reigned.
After finding his way in front, he did not squander it and sealed the title with a 97 average and five 180's as he also beats Littler to the triple crown.
Littler started superbly in the tie opening up with a 180 and sealed the first leg on double three for a 14-darter. Humphries squandered three darts at doubles and allowed Littler to double his lead early on at 2-0.
But Humphries had first shot at 127 for a break back. He got 57 for a poke at the bull but hit 25. Littler looked at 83 and pinned double 16 to go 3-0 up.
Humphries finally got off the mark at 3-1 down. Humphries left 79 and got a poke after Littler missed 120. 'Cool Hand' missed two at double 11 and Littler got three clear at double 10. But he missed three darts allowing Humphries back. He went inside the double 11 though.

Littler returned to the fore with a 12-darter to go within one at 7-6 down but Humphries shut the door after both hit 180's. He hit double 20 to move to within three.
He went two away at 9-7 as Littler needed to find an answer and quick. Humphries next needed to find answers as he looked likely to try and hold and protect over try and romp towards the finish.
But he hit a 180 to leave 124. He set up double 16. He returned to hit double two to go one away at 10-8. Littler missed 88 to stay in it after Humphries missed a match dart and 'Cool Hand Luke' hit double 10 to seal the title.
