Son of the iconic Aussie Simon Whitlock, Mason Whitlock has seemingly inherited a touch of 'The Wizard's magic powers. During Development Tour 12, the second generation Whitlock pinned a perfect nine-darter during his match against Ronan McDonagh.

Whitlock had already edged out Englishman Lleyton Molyneux in the opening round, then struck perfection against McDonagh in the last 128. Despite average nearly 10 points more than McDonagh however, it was the Irishman who took the match in a deciding leg 4-3.

It's more positive signs for Whitlock though, who has previously also hit a nine-darter at the MODUS Super Series. Earlier this year, Whitlock told TalkSport: "If I can achieve a third of what he's achieved in his career, I'd be happy with myself," about living up to his father's legacy and his own goals for the future. "I want to win a Development Tour, win a MODUS and next year, I want to get my Tour Card. That's my goal."
