Dutch darts continues to underline its strength on the PDC Challenge Tour, with Jamai van den Herik’s latest triumph pushing the Netherlands’ tally of tournament wins to 38 since the circuit’s inception.

Van den Herik, who also claimed Event 12 earlier this season, added another crown at Event 19 on Saturday after reaching the semi-finals of Event 18 earlier in the day. His success follows a strong year for the Dutch contingent, with Alexander Merkx also reaching a final this weekend.

The Netherlands now sit a clear second on the all-time list of Challenge Tour event wins. England remain the runaway leaders with 121 titles, while Scotland are next best on 18. Wales occupy fourth place on 12, with Germany completing the top five on five victories.

The Challenge Tour continues today with Event 20, the fourth-to-last tournament of the season. At the end of the 24-event campaign, the top two players on the Order of Merit will earn two-year PDC Tour Cards, while the top three will qualify for the World Championship. The overall winner also secures a spot at the Grand Slam of Darts.

Heading into the final stretch, Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas leads the Order of Merit ahead of Switzerland’s Stefan Bellmont, with Van den Herik currently in third as he strengthens his push for Alexandra Palace.
