Dave Chisnall is not just known as one of the best darts players in the world, but also for his lighthearted nature, enjoying an occasional interaction on social media. He continued this trend by responding to a meme that had been circulating around for some time.
It originated from a photo that had been circulating around for a while, with Chizzy being the culprit of many jokes about from fellow darts fans. It showed a man sleeping in a urinal whilst wearing a yellow shirt, something Chisnall is synonymous to.
This was enough for fans to simultaneously tie the unfortunate so to Chisnall, poking fun at the world number 14. The 44-year-old may have seen the funny side, but did finally having enough of all of this, as he replied to the post in question. He wrote on X: "Please stop tagging me in this," followed by a laughing and thumbs up emoji, revealing the humour behind the statement.
This just led to more attention, commencing more sarcastic and perky replies, which included responses such as: "That's disgusting Dave", "Need some antibiotics after that," "Aiming for double trough, Chizzy," and "But why would you do such a thing Dave," among others.
This shows one of the reasons why Chisnall is such a fan favourite in the darts community. His ability to not take himself seriously while having a laugh regularly online with his followers. A notable interaction he had earlier this year involved a fan slating his downturn in form. The fan tweeted: "I can shoot better darts than Dave Chisnall in his current form and I’ve never played a day in my life. Imagine being a pro dart player and throwing a total score between 20 and 50 multiple times in a single match. Is he drunk?"
He responded in stereotypical Chizzy form, replying: "Gonna start shooting darts instead of chucking them and see if I end up doing any better."
He will be hoping to put a smile on the face of his followers as he targets glory at the World Series of Darts Finals this weekend, facing off against Nathan Aspinall in the first round.
