Preview final day Poland Darts Masters: Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price still in the running for title
Steve Welsh/PDC

In Gliwice tonight it will be decided who will win the Poland Darts Masters. At this fifth tournament of the World Series of Darts 2025, we will look for a successor to Luke Littler, who managed to win the tournament last year by beating Rob Cross 8-3 in the final.

The Poland Darts Masters was first organized in 2023 and was then won by Michael van Gerwen. Together with Littler, last year's winner, the two former winners of this World Series tournament are thus also present at this year's edition.

Conspicuous absentee is world number one Luke Humphries. He is taking a week off after winning the US Darts Masters last week. Apart from Humphries, the entire top four of the world rankings will be present in Poland;

On the opening day, almost all PDC top players managed to qualify for the quarter-finals. Only Jonny Clayton failed to do so, 'The Ferret' went down 6-2 in the opening round against Krzysztof Ratajski.

Quarter-finals

Stephen Bunting v Krzysztof Ratajski

The evening in Gliwice is kicked off by Stephen Bunting and Krzysztof Ratajski, as described above, caused a surprise by sending Clayton home. Well, surprise, the Pole has been on a nice run in recent months anyway and in front of his own crowd he can always do a bit more. Bunting will also have his hands more than full with 'The Polish Eagle'. Bunting already won the Bahrain Darts Masters and the Nordic Darts Masters this year and will be itching to add a third World Series tournament this weekend.

Nathan Aspinall v Luke Littler

Next it's the turn of Nathan Aspinall and Luke Littler in what will be a replay of their duel last week at the US Darts Masters. Then Aspinall was too strong in the quarterfinals, 6-4, for the reigning world champion. For his part, Littler has been dry in terms of tournament victories for a while, so he will be keen to break that drought this weekend. Although Littler got off with a scare in the opening round against Karel Sedlacek. Aspinall on the other hand lost the final of the US Darts Masters last week and hopes to add a World Series tournament to his record this weekend;

Gerwyn Price v Chris Dobey

Next up is Gerwyn Price and Chris Dobey. Price won relatively easily over Sebastian Bialecki in the previous round. 'The Iceman' has already won three Players Championships this year and is now looking to strike at the World Series of Darts as well. In order to do so, he must first get past Dobey, who along with Ratajski was the only one to post a 100+ average in the opening round. This could be a particularly exciting match.

Rob Cross v Michael van Gerwen

The final quarterfinal is between Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen. Cross easily discovered Krzysztof Kciuk in the opening round. Van Gerwen never got into his normal rhythm against Pero Ljubic, but did win 6-4. However, both men can do much better than what they showed in their opening match. If the former world champions manage to raise their level, we are likely to be presented with a cracking tie.
