Watch: Jamie Harvey leaves Phil Taylor stunned as he falls off stage in iconic moment from early PDC years

The darts world said goodbye yesterday to a particularly colourful and beloved figure in the history of the sport: 'Bravedart' Jamie Harvey.

The well-liked Scottish darter was not only a pioneer within the professional darts world, but also a player whose charisma and unique style made him a firm favourite with fans for many years. With his nicknames "The Tartan Terror" and later "Bravedart" - a playful nod to the legendary movie Braveheart - he wrote his own chapter in darts history during the course of a career that spanned almost four decades across the BDO and the PDC.

Harvey was for a long time one of the big names in the PDC, the organisation he helped co-found. In 1996, Harvey competed alongside Keith Deller in the PDC World Pairs Championship. Harvey and Deller competed against Phil Taylor and Bob Anderson.

With the scores tied at 1-1 in legs, Harvey suddenly and dramatically fell off the stage in the background. Fortunately without much harm, Harvey was able to play on as usual after that, but the moment has gone down in history as one of the most iconic from the early years of the PDC.
