World Series Order of Merit update: Stephen Bunting leads the pack after second title of 2025

Stephen Bunting has emerged as the standout player in this year’s World Series of Darts, storming to the top of the Order of Merit with a commanding lead after claiming his second title of the season.

Three World Series events have been played so far in 2025 — and Bunting has reached the final in all of them. The Bullet opened his campaign with victory at the Bahrain Darts Masters, finished runner-up in Den Bosch, and most recently lifted the Nordic Darts Masters trophy in Copenhagen this past Saturday.

That latest triumph took Bunting’s points total to 32 — a full 11 points clear of second-placed Rob Cross. Voltage remains the only player to have beaten Bunting on the World Series stage this year, having won the Dutch Darts Masters back in January.

Gerwyn Price currently occupies third place with 18 points, ahead of a chasing pack led by reigning world champion Luke Littler. The Nuke hasn’t yet found top gear in this year’s World Series and sits on 11 points. Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries follow closely with nine points apiece, while Chris Dobey has collected seven. Peter Wright is on five points, with Jonny Clayton, Raymond van Barneveld, Kevin Doets, Michael van Gerwen, Jermaine Wattimena, and Paolo Nebrida all level on three.

In the World Series format, players earn one point for participating in an event. Quarter-finalists receive three points, semi-finalists five, the runner-up gets eight, and the winner earns a maximum of twelve.

At the end of the season, the top eight players in the Order of Merit will automatically qualify for the World Series Finals, which will take place in Amsterdam. There are still several events to come later in the year, including tournaments in the United States, Poland, Australia, and New Zealand — all offering crucial opportunities to climb the rankings.
