The NASCAR icon zoomed into Talladega Nights as himself, proving he’s just as comfortable in front of a camera as he is behind the wheel. Ricky Bobby would definitely approve.

David Beckham

Warner Bros.

David Beckham showed up in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword with a sword, a snarl, and somehow pulled it off. The soccer superstar can apparently bend lines as well as he bends free kicks!

In The Naked Gun, Reggie Jackson was hypnotized and ordered to assassinate the Queen. Although he'd never acted before, he somehow found a way to look like a natural!

Dan Marino

Jim Carrey might’ve been the star of Ace Ventura, but Dan Marino’s cameo was a total touchdown. The football legend leaned into the weirdness and made it a classic.

Lance Armstrong

Before things went off the rails, Lance Armstrong’s Dodgeball cameo was comedy gold. His overly motivational speech landed so well that it’s still quoted today. Guess he had more than one gear after all.

Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce
Ryan Murphy Television, Scratchpad, 20th Television

Fresh off the field and into Grotesquerie, Travis Kelce proved he’s got more than tight end energy — he’s got real acting chops, too. Regarding his performance in the series, the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, only had great things to say. "I love his discipline […] He was a little nervous at first, but we worked together and had a ball. He’s just the most delightful person," he said.

Serena Williams

Serena Williams
Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures

Serena Williams popping up in Pixels alongside Adam Sandler was the kind of random cameo we didn’t know we needed. However, even in a video game invasion, the tennis queen still dominated.

Brett Favre

There’s Something About Mary ended with Brett Favre being the punchline, and he played it perfectly. The quarterback leaned into the bit and came out a comedy MVP.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Playing co-pilot Roger Murdock in Airplane! might have seemed random, but Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s deadpan delivery was comedy gold. The NBA legend could fly a plane and drop punchlines.

Jimmy Butler might’ve only been on screen for a few minutes in Office Christmas Party, but he packed those moments with pure, laugh-out-loud chaos.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady
Paramount Pictures

This NFL legend played himself in 80 for Brady, and honestly ... he nailed it! Cool, charming, and self-aware — just enough TB to make us believe he really does age backwards.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian as Siobhan in American Horror Story: Delicate? We didn’t see it coming, but she delivered every scene like it was a red-carpet moment, showing critics she knew how to make her way around a camera. She took it a step further in 2025, starring in the Hulu series All's Fair alongside Niecy Nash and Sarah Paulson.

Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving
Summit Entertainment

As the old-man baller Uncle Drew, Kyrie Irving turned a Pepsi commercial character into a full-on movie hero. Between the prosthetics and the jump shot, he somehow made it work. In a previous interview, the NBA star discussed how he felt filming a movie for the first time. "For me, it was a unique experience because I had never acted before. I had been on a few TV shows, been on camera for a little bit, but full-blown acting for 14-hour days and thinking when you have to get off set, I’m in my Uncle Drew makeup eating lunch and trying to stay in character as much as possible," he said.

Marshawn Lynch

Marshawn Lynch
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

Marshawn Lynch, a.k.a. Beast Mode, brought his signature deadpan delivery to Bottoms and totally stole the show. Who knew the guy famous for saying “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” would crush comedy? Well, perhaps he knew all along!

Sure, Space Jam was technically a cartoon fever dream, but Michael Jordan held his own against Bugs Bunny. Turns out the GOAT can dunk and deliver lines at the same time.

Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson
Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures

Who knew Iron Mike could be so funny? His wild cameo in The Hangover became one of the film’s most memorable moments, and that air-drum scene to Phil Collins? Legendary.

During a previous interview, the boxer revealed he almost didn't appear in the film.

“I met the guys in a club, they were in the VIP section, and I said, ‘This is where I normally sit, nobody’s normally here,'" he recalled. “So I went in there, I’m checking these guys to see what they’re doing in my section. It was Zach, the other guy, and he said, ‘We’re going to be in a movie with you,’ and I said, ‘Yeah? When?’ And he said, ‘Tomorrow."

Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal
Touchstone Pictures

Shaquille O'Neal's genie act in Kazaam was chaotic, over-the-top, and somehow totally perfect for him. The basketball legend’s larger-than-life charm made the goofy ‘90s flick pure nostalgia gold, no matter what the critics say!

LeBron James

LeBron James
Universal

In Trainwreck , LeBron James wasn’t just a basketball star; he was a hilarious addition. His dry humor and surprising comedic timing proved he could steal scenes right alongside acting icons such as Amy Schumer and Bill Hader.

Kenya Moore

Kenya Moore
Rainforest Films

Before she became a Real Housewives of Atlanta legend, Kenya Moore was making waves on the big screen, from Waiting to Exhale to the steamy drama Trois. In the latter, she held her own with passion and charm, proving she could command a scene without breaking a sweat. And despite the negative reviews, Moore's performance was solid for someone whose claim to fame was winning the prestigious Miss USA title.
