20 of the best horror comedies that’ll make you laugh and scream

The plot of Jordan Peele's Get Out is so intense that it could be easy to forget the film is a horror comedy. But don't get too relaxed. As soon as you settle in, thinking the movie could be a chill thriller with all of the jokes about interracial relationships, the jump scares come out of nowhere, which may or may not result in a scream.

Scary Movie needs no explanation. If you've seen it, then you know there's no way to watch this movie and not laugh. The franchise's success has led to four additional films and a fifth scheduled to be released in 2025.
