A source told PEOPLE that the singer had been in hospice for two weeks prior to his death, but he'd been in and out of the hospital for months before that. Former Cincinnati Bengals player Rudi Johnson died by suıcide at an apartment building in Florida, according to the New York Post and TMZ . "Rudi was a fine person and an excellent running back for us," Bengals president Mike Brown said. "He was dependable and productive as a player, and very popular among his teammates. Everyone liked him and saw him as a dear friend. We are deeply saddened by his passing."
