Netflix has just released the trailer for the seventh season of Black Mirror, which is set to drop on April 10.
Creator Charlie Brooker opened up about what fans can expect, saying, "You can expect a mix of genres and styles. We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional."
He also told Tudum that the new season is "a little bit OG Black Mirror" and that they will all be sci-fi stories. The cast includes Michele Austin, Ben Bailey Smith, Asim Chaudhry, Josh Finan, James Nelson-Joyce, Will Poulter, Jay Simpson, Michael Workéyè, Awkwafina, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Siena Kelly, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, Cristin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Paul G. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson, and Harriet Walter.
This upcoming season will make history for the show with the first ever sequel! The episode will serve as a follow up to the premiere episode of the fourth season, "USS Callister."
Captain Robert Daly presides over his crew with wisdom and courage. But a new recruit will soon discover nothing on this spaceship is what it seems.
"Fans of the show will recognize the cast of a certain spaceship from one of our episodes reappearing," Brooker shared. "Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, [but] I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human."

Poulter and Chaudhry aren't new to Black Mirror either, both playing Tuckersoft employees in Bandersnatch, which was an interactive film that allowed viewers to make decisions for the main character.
"It’s always so fun," the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 actor expressed. "[Charlie] writes such spectacular episodes, and I was so grateful that he brought Colin back." He then revealed that there will be new creations that are part of Tuckersoft's secret project.
