It is safe to say that Camila Mendes and Nicholas Galitzine were not fond of their costumes as they joked about the outfit choice for their roles in Masters of the Universe. The first glimpse of Masters of the Universe, which shows the immersive world, Eternia, and intense action-packed scenes, has impressed fans. And the same can be said about the characters’ outfits.
However, both Mendes and Galitzine have much to say about the outfit and seemed to joke about one of the issues.
During an interview with ScreenTime, Camila Mendes spoke about having only one costume in the film. In response, Nicolas Galitzine jokingly suggested that it might be because most of the budget of the film went into creating the Beast Man. To this, Mendes added how they were then left with "one little loincloth." While Galitzine was telling Mendes to "not get it dirty," director Travis Knight said that it is not the greatest idea to put the leading lady in a white costume. To this, Galitzine seemed to agree with Knight's opinion about Mendes' white costume.
“Irresponsible,” Galitzine said playfully.

Although Mendes and Galitzine joked about their costumes, both pointed out that their outfits were comfortable to wear. Mendes added that her costume felt like soft leather. Meanwhile, Galitzine wore a loincloth and harnesses to play his character, He-Man.
As for the white outfit, it was likely designed as a nod to Teela’s classic look, which features a white costume with armor layered on top. Directed by Travis Knight, Masters of the Universe will kick off a new chapter in the franchise. It will follow He-Man, who will reunite with Teela as they fight to protect their world, Eternia, against danger.
While fighting in a white outfit may not have been easy, for Mendes, playing Teela was the fulfillment of a long-time dream
Camila Mendes revealed that Masters of the Universe fulfilled her lifelong dream of starring in a superhero movie. The actress plays Teela, a warrior in the movie. In conversation with PEOPLE, Mendes opened up about her excitement to join a franchise that has remained largely untouched in live-action for decades.
"But it was really cool to enter this world that sort of has been untouched for a really long time, especially in the live-action space," she said. "And it was really cool to be able to bring these dormant characters to life again."

She revealed that this was the role she had wanted most since landing her breakthrough role in Riverdale. Mendes described the audition process as challenging but said her chemistry with co-star Nicholas Galitzine helped her land the role. If the first glimpse is any indication, plenty of intriguing action can be expected in Masters of the Universe
