College Football Reporter Laura Rutledge’s Game Day Look Takes an Unexpected Turn in Baton Rouge

The stage is set for Saturday’s highly anticipated clash at Tiger Stadium as No. 3 LSU hosts Florida in an early-season matchup.

It’s the Tigers who enter this Week 3 contest with momentum on their side after going 2-0 last week with a 23-7 win over LA Tech. The Gators, on the other hand, fell to 1-1 following last Sunday’s disappointing 18-16 loss against No. 18 South Florida.

Laura Rutledge and the rest of the SEC Network crew have been in Baton Rouge since Friday for their coverage of the LSU-Florida showdown. Unfortunately for the renowned sportscaster, she suffered a bit of a mishap on air during their pregame coverage.

Rutledge took to social media to proudly embrace her awkward hair issue during the pregame show.

In her photo, Rutledge’s hair can be seen flying all over the place in a rather embarrassing on-air moment. Instead of shying away from it, however, the 36-year-old broadcaster decided to share a photo of the same for all her followers to see. She even compared it to an iconic scene from the 19998 comedy “There’s Something About Mary,” where Cameron Diaz is seen with a not-so-pleasant-looking hairdo during a date.

Rutledge is a consummate professional, and she did not let this hair mishap interfere with the broadcast. As they always say, the show must go on.

The kickoff for the LSU-Florida game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be aired on ABC.
