Could 'King of the Hill' be headed toward revival?

Thank you for your honesty, Brent Forrester.

Forrester, an Emmy-winning producer and writer, held a Reddit AMA session Tuesday and did not hold back in his responses, even when one commenter asked about the possibility of a King of the Hill reboot.

"I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but... HELL YES," Forrester typed back. "They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I've said too much :)"

Forrester worked as a producer on King of the Hill, and he's credited with writing 1998 episode "Peggy's Turtle Song." He contributed to The Ben Stiller Show, The Simpsons, The Office, and more over the years. Most recently, Forrester served as an executive producer on Netflix comedy Space Force (also created by Daniels) starring Steve Carrell, Lisa Kudrow and John Malkovich.

Daniels and Judge co-created King of the Hill, which originally ran for 13 seasons from 1997 to 2010. Judge voiced patriarch Hank Hill, while his wife, Peggy was voiced by Kathy Najimy and their only son, Bobby, was voiced by Pamela Adlon.

The series ended its run on FOX in September 2009 with Bobby bonding with Hank while grilling steaks. Four more episodes later concluded the 13th season through syndication in May 2010.

Forrester isn't the first to hint at a revival, however, as Daniels revealed to ComicBook.com last March that he and Judge "got together a couple of years ago, and came up with a reboot." He went on to say Fox decided against moving forward with the idea, but "we do have a plan for it, and it's pretty funny, so maybe one day."
