Univision announced the list of nominees for the 2025 Premios Juventud awards , which for the first time in history will be held outside the United States. The ceremony will take place on September 25 in Panama City.

The big surprise of this year's edition is Danny Ocean, who earned six nominations in categories such as Best Pop/Urban Song, Best Pop/Rhythmic Song, Best Pop Song, Best Pop Album, Tropical Hit, and Latin Afrobeat of the Year. The Venezuelan artist ties with Bad Bunny, the ultimate urban music icon, who also leads with six nominations in categories such as Artist of the Year, Best Urban Album, and Best Pop/Urban Song.

This duel marks a historic moment: Danny Ocean enters the group of artists with the most nominations for the first time, competing directly with one of the industry's giants.

Among the most nominated artists are Peso Pluma, Netón Vega, Carín León, Anitta, and Emilia , with five nominations each. The presence of Mexican musicians is consolidated, with specific categories such as Best Alternative Mexican Song and Best Mariachi Song, in addition to the inclusion of Latin Afrobeat of the Year, which reflects new sonic fusions.

Eight new categories and a digital perspective

The 2025 edition introduces eight new categories , including Best Alternative Mexican Music Song , Podcast of the Year , #GettingReadyWith (for beauty and fashion creators), and POV Futbolero , which honors viral content made by soccer fans.
