The runtime of Gladiator II has been revealed, so now you know how much of your time you’ll be devoting to Ridley Scott’s upcoming historical epic.

Gladiator II is 2h 28m long. That makes it shorter than the original, but only barely. 2000’s Gladiator is Gladiator 2h 35m, so the sequel is seven minutes shorter. Despite the slightly more brief length, it’s still one of Scott’s longest films to date.

His longest is also his most recent, Napoleon. When it released in cinemas on November 22, 2023, it was 2h 38m. However, Scott’s re-edit, Napoleon: The Director’s Cut, adds 48 minutes of additional scenes, resulting in an epic 3h 24m runtime.
