Gladiator II’s IMAX Poster is Spectacular

Gladiator II got one but three spectacular new posters to promote its impending release on IMAX.

The best one though is, of course, the one in which protagonist Lucius (Paul Mescal) is facing off in the gladiatorial arena against a huge rhino being ridden by an equally fearsome opponent. You can check out all three posters below.

Gladiator II, directed by Ridley Scott, will be screened on premium large formats including IMAX, Dolby and 4DX. It’s one of, if not the biggest productions of Scott’s career, and seeing as it dates back to 1977 and includes films like Alien, Blade Runner, and the original Gladiator, that’s saying something.

The press tour for Gladiator II is currently ramping into gear, so you’re about to see a lot more news come straight from the core cast of Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, and Pedro Pascal. Perhaps even more exciting, however, is the reveal of Gladiator II’s new popcorn bucket.

Shaped like the same gladiator helmet Russell Crowe’s character Maximus wears in 2000’s Gladiator, it’s the latest in a long line of novelty popcorn buckets to tie in with films, which previously encompassed Dune, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Venom.

October and November belong to Gladiator, with all kinds of behind-the-scenes access and featurettes dropping. Check out the latest one below, in which Scott takes you onto set during production. There’s also a shot of Mescal in shades.
