Warwick announced the news in a statement to the BBC, revealing Samantha passed away on Sunday, March 24. A cause of death was not provided.
“Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family,” Warwick said in his statement, referring to Samantha as his “favorite human” and “most trusted confidante and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career.”
The couple, who had been married for 32 years, met on the set of Ron Howard‘s 1988 cult classic Willow. They shared two children together, Harrison and Annabelle, who also paid tribute to their late mother.
“Mum is our best friend and we’re honoured to have received a love like hers,” Harrison and Annabelle told the BBC.

“It was like having a super-power,” he shared. “Without Sammy, there would have been no Tenable quiz show, no Willow series. No Idiot Abroad Series 3.”
Samantha featured alongside her husband in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011 and also appeared in the 2014 series Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis, which was hosted by the star and saw him traveling around Britain with his family.

While he said her mobility had become impaired in recent years, Warwick made it clear that she was “determined that it would not impact her quality of life.”
