Two California prep football players were charged Tuesday with sex-related crimes against six other high school students, ranging from rape and lewd acts to false imprisonment and consensual sex with a minor younger than 14. The bulk of the charges were levied against Kishawn Holmes, a 17-year-old running back at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, Calif., about 80 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Holmes is a three-star prospect, according to Scout.com, and was given the nickname "Sweet Feet" by Snoop Dogg after a game in Diamond Bar, Calif., in February. He and former teammate Byron Holt Jr. were arrested Sept. 12 on charges of sexual misconduct, according to KCAL . Holmes is now being charged with three counts of false imprisonment, two counts of rape by force or fear, and a lewd act against another victim younger than 14. Holt, meanwhile, faces three felony charges of consensual sex with a minor younger than 14. On Tuesday, Holt's mother spoke out in support of her son outside a Riverside County courthouse, where tempers also flared between the boys' supporters and parents of one of the alleged victims: According to KCAL, Holmes will stay in juvenile detention until his next court appearance Oct. 30, while Holt will be released to his parents, but must remain under 24-hour supervision until his next court date, on Oct. 24. None of the alleged crimes, which reportedly date to 2012, is said to have occurred on school grounds.
