Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant helped power the Nets into a playoff spot last night with incredible performances. Playing against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first play-in game, the Nets were able to secure the win and book their spot in the playoffs against the Boston Celtics. Irving and Durant were incredible on the night, making incredible plays to help their team get the better of a young and dangerous Cleveland side.

One person who was in attendance for the game was former Nets part-owner and rapper Jay Z. Jay Z was instrumental in bringing the Nets from New Jersey to Brooklyn, where he is from. And during the game, there were moments where Jay Z was stunned, especially after a tough shot from Kevin Durant. And Jay Z was also celebrating massively when Kyrie Irving made an incredible layup to help the Nets.

Irving and Durant are without a doubt the two biggest stars to sign with the Brooklyn Nets since the team made the move from New Jersey. While they had attracted big names like Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in the past, those players were well past their prime and not playing at the elite level that Irving and Durant are playing at now. The duo joined the franchise with the hope of bringing them an NBA championship.

Irving and Durant will be hoping to make a deep run in the playoffs but they will not have an easy path to do so. Their first-round match-up against the Celtics will be very difficult, as the Celtics have been one of the best teams in the NBA in the last few months, and will cause them a lot of problems. On top of that, the Nets are still without Ben Simmons, who could miss the entire NBA playoffs due to his injury.
