Justin Hartley teases what's to come on 'This Is Us': 'Kevin has a lot of decisions to make'

The sixth and final season of This Is Us is nearly upon us, and the anticipation is at an all-time high.

Justin Hartley, who has played Kevin Pearson since the beloved drama's 2016 debut, chimed in on during a new interview with Haute Living.

"Kevin has a lot of decisions to make, and that will be part of the beginning of the final season," the 44-year-old actor teased. "We’ll be seeing how he navigates his circumstance with Madison, with his kids, not going through with the wedding. His love life, his career, his family, his mother, all that stuff. It’s like a line in the sand: before this moment and after this moment. He’s a changed man. He’s got a lot more responsibilities now, certainly, than he used to."

"The character has changed so dramatically from the time I started playing him [in 2016] to now," Hartley continued. "He’s almost like a different person, but at the same time, if you took him apart, you would still recognize him. When I think about that now, I think, What parts of him are exactly the same? I keep coming back to his heart. That would still be recognizable from moment one, season one, until the last moment of season six."

As for the last moment of This Is Us, Hartley believes fans "will be pleased — beyond satisfied" with how the Pearsons' stories wrap up, even though he doesn't "think it's all fully written."

The sixth season premiere of This Is Us will air next Tuesday (Jan. 4) beginning at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. Watch the official trailer as well as the first-look teaser below.

Jacksonville Jaguars Announce Unfortunate Decision After Win Against Chiefs

The Jacksonville Jaguars ended their 16-year losing streak to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night after a thrilling 31-28 victory at EverBank Stadium. Trevor Lawrence turned in another strong performance to help lead the Jaguars to victory with 18-of-25 completed passes for 221 yards and one touchdown. It wasn’t all good news for the Jaguars, though, who improved to 4-1 after taking down Patrick Mahomes and the mighty Chiefs. They lost starting tight end Brenton Strange in the first half after the former Penn State Nittany Lions star suffered a hip injury. Strange was unable to return to the game, and tests have determined a significant quad issue for the 24-year-old. The Jaguars took to social media on Tuesday to announce that Strange has been placed on injured reserve (IR), which means he will be forced to miss at least four games due to his hip problem. “The Jacksonville Jaguars have made the following roster moves: Placed TE Brenton Strange on injured reserve Signed WR Tim Jones to the practice squad Released WR Erik Ezukanma from the practice squad,” JaguarsPR posted on X. In five games played this season, Strange has already registered a team-high 20 catches for 204 yards. He hasn’t scored a touchdown yet, but is currently on pace to set career-high receiving marks. This injury is a tough blow amid his strong start, and the hope is that Strange will be able to pick up where he left off once he’s healthy enough to return. The silver lining for the Jaguars here is that Strange has reportedly avoided a season-ending injury, and the team expects him to be back in around a month. For now, Jacksonville will need to turn to the likes of Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long to fill the void at tight end. The Jaguars also announced on Tuesday that they’ve brought in WR Tim Jones to the practice squad, while Erik Ezukanma has been released. It remains to be seen if Jones will be able to do enough to earn a spot on the active roster. Jacksonville’s next game is on Sunday as they take on the 3-2 Seattle Seahawks in a home game at EverBank Stadium for Week 6.

Steve Kerr Announces Seth Curry's Final Status for Warriors-Trail Blazers

The Golden State Warriors picked up a win over the Los Angeles Lakers to start their 2025 preseason campaign, and now head into another exhibition match against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. For their matchup against Portland, the Warriors are even testing out a new-look starting lineup that features recently-signed Al Horford, alongside Steph Curry, Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green. While Horford is getting the starting nod for the first time as a Warrior, not every newly signed player is playing in Wednesday's preseason game. The Warriors signed four new players heading into the new season: Al Horford, De'Anthony Melton, Seth Curry, and rookie Will Richard. Melton is still recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered last season, but Horford and Richard were able to make their Warriors debut against the Lakers and are both set to play in Wednesday's game as well. Seth Curry, on the other hand, is still waiting to make his Warriors debut. Seth Curry's status While talking to the media before Wednesday's game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Seth Curry would be sidelined for the second consecutive game. Kerr said that Curry is "still ramping up," per Warriors reporter Kenzo Fukuda. Curry, 35, is teaming up with his brother Steph for the first time in his career, and fans are patiently waiting to see them on the court together. However, they will have to wait another game. The new Warriors guard spent last season with the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged 6.5 points per game on a league-high 45.6% shooting from three-point range. Creating the literal "Splash Brothers" will be an incredible sight for the Warriors this season, and it gives the team another much-needed three-point threat off the bench. Curry's contract dilemma The Warriors were forced to sign Curry to an Exhibit 9 deal, allowing him to participate in training camp and preseason, but they will have to waive him before the 2025-26 regular season starts. However, the two sides will be able to agree on their expected one-year deal on November 10. Even though Curry will not be on the team for the first couple of weeks of the regular season, getting reps in during the preseason will be important, so that it does not take as long for him to gel when he is able to sign his standard contract. Unfortunately, Curry is not suiting up on Wednesday, but he should be making his Warriors debut soon.

George Pickens Confronts Rico Dowdle After Ex-Cowboys RB Sent Warning

Rico Dowdle is eagerly waiting for Week 6. The former Cowboys RB will face his old team for the first time since leaving in 2024. And he’s not exactly keeping things quiet. Fresh off an NFC Offensive Player of the Week nod for torching the Dolphins with 206 total yards, Dowdle sent a loud message to Dallas. He told reporters his former team better “buckle up” for what’s coming. But George Pickens didn’t let that one slide. “Nah, we’re buckled up every week, bro. I don’t really know what he meant by that. I just know we gonna try to come out there to dominate and compete,” Pickens said on Dowdle’s comments. The wideout wasn’t taking shots—just setting the tone. However, Dowdle’s got his reasons to feel fired up. After five seasons in Dallas and a breakout year in 2024, the front office still let him walk. Carolina wasted no time bringing the hometown kid home, while the Cowboys turned their backfield over to Javonte Williams. It was a business move—but one that still stings for the running back. And he’s not pretending otherwise. In his final season with Dallas, Dowdle racked up 1,079 rushing yards and added another 249 through the air. Those are numbers you don’t just replace overnight. So when he was asked again on Wednesday about his “buckle up” message, he stood firm. “They got to buckle up,” Dowdle said. “I stand on that. It just means it’s going to be a very physical game on my end, I take pride in that. Buckle them chinstraps up tight. I will be coming.” Now, Rico Dowdle is expected to start again with Chuba Hubbard sidelined. His Week 5 explosion already turned heads after a quiet month of limited carries. Still, it’s not just George Pickens; other Cowboys members had their say, too. George Pickens and the Cowboys are ready for Rico Dowdle While Rico Dowdle’s “buckle up” message made waves across the league, the Cowboys made sure it didn’t go unanswered. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer didn’t dodge the topic either. “I know we’re going to have to buckle up, he said,” Schottenheimer told reporters on Monday. “We’ll bring our seat belts, Rico, and buckle up.” That light jab got some laughs, but make no mistake—the locker room heard Dowdle loud and clear. Defensive tackle Kenny Clark didn’t hold back. “Man, he got to back it up,” Clark said. “I’m not much into talking. They ain’t play nobody like us. We ain’t play them, so he’ll watch the film and see what he’s playing against.” Meanwhile, Sam Williams added, “We ain’t going. We’re buckled up. Car seat, all of that. We’re ready.” Even Solomon Thomas added his take. “He can say what he wants. He had a great game last week. But we play the game Sunday.” And yes, George Pickens is leading by example too. After scoring five touchdowns in 16 starts for Pittsburgh in 2023, he’s already matched that total through just five games in Big D. Dak Prescott’s trust in him and Schottenheimer’s system have unlocked a new version of the Georgia product. On pace for 1,219 yards and 17 touchdowns, he’s proving to be a perfect fit. Sure, his numbers might dip a bit when CeeDee Lamb returns, but for now, Pickens and Cowboy Nation are locked in. Let’s see how they strap up against Dowdle and the Panthers this Sunday.

Bengals QB Jake Browning angry about being benched for Joe Flacco, but team had no choice

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning has officially been benched, and he is not taking it lightly. Browning has started the last three games for the Bengals in the wake of a toe injury that Joe Burrow suffered in Week 2. After going 0-3 in those games, the Bengals decided to acquire Joe Flacco in a trade with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced on Wednesday that Flacco will start in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. That means the new guy is taking Browning's job right away, which is hardly a surprise. Jake Browning is not happy about losing his job Browning spoke with reporters shortly after Taylor revealed that Flacco will start in Green Bay. The 29-year-old quarterback said the situation "sucks" but that he understands how the business of the NFL works. "I think it sucks but, like I said, everyone's in the middle of a season. I think, 'Welcome to pro football,'" Browning said. "If you don't play well, you're gonna get replaced, and that's what I'm going through." Browning also admitted he is angry over being benched. Though, he said he is not willing to shoulder the blame for everything that has gone wrong for Cincinnati since Burrow went down. "For me, I'm trying to respond the right way. Obviously, I'm pi--ed. If I wasn't pi--ed, then I shouldn't be in this locker room," Browning added. "I'm aware of the role I played in the offensive struggles over the last few weeks, but I'm also not shouldering the entire situation. I went through yesterday, watched my throws, tried to come up with some stuff I want to work on, and just doing that." Zac Taylor had no choice but to make a switch Browning threw three interceptions in Cincinnati's 37-24 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He completed 26 of 40 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns as well, but anything positive that the veteran did came when the game was essentially out of hand. In his two starts prior to the Lions loss, Browning threw for a total of 265 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The Bengals scored 13 points in the two games combined. Ja'Marr Chase looked extremely frustrated at times and even had a heated exchange with Taylor on the sideline. Taylor had been facing tremendous pressure from fans to make a quarterback change. It would not be a surprise if Cincinnati's front office and some players expressed a desire for Browning to be benched, as well.
