20 celebrities who revealed super juicy details in their memoirs

Barbra Streisand spilled all sorts of juicy details about her life in Hollywood in her book, My Name Is Barbra. One of the most interesting reveals was that when Streisand worked with one of her idols, Gene Kelly, it wasn’t what she had hoped. Streisand found him to be mean to women. 

In her memoir, Love, Pamela , Pamela Anderson dished that she had an interesting interaction with Jack Nicholson at a party at the Playboy Mansion. Nicholson was engaging physically with two women, and when Anderson walked by, he, well, crossed the finish line. 

Singer Lily Allen wrote a memoir called My Thoughts Exactly, and she shared an array of previously unknown details about her life. One of the darkest inclusions was that she tried to cope with her bad marriage by hiring women for sex. 

Viewers saw a lot on The Jersey Shore, but not everything. Brooke Shields wrote a very revealing memoir called Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old. In it, she shared that, while under anesthesia for another surgery, a doctor gave her vaginal rejuvenation without her permission. Shields considered taking legal action. 

Christopher Ciccone wasn’t a celebrity per se, but his sister is. Ciccone’s famous sibling, Madonna, was the first person to give him a joint and ecstasy pills, per his memoir, Life with My Sister Madonna. 

When Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were married, there were plenty of members of the general public who couldn’t quite wrap their heads around the marriage. Moore opened up about the marriage in her memoir Inside Out, with one of the more notable revelations being that she and Kutcher had two threesomes while they were together. 

E.A. Hanks, the daughter of Tom Hanks, revealed much in her memoir, The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road. E.A. spent much of her childhood with her mother, Samantha Lewes, who neglected her. The conditions at their home became so poor that E.A. eventually moved in full-time with Tom. 

Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman In Me , was highly anticipated, and it didn’t disappoint. The pop star revealed in the book that when she and Justin Timberlake were dating, she became pregnant with his child. She had an abortion at Timberlake’s behest. 

Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay has alluded to having had relations with celebrities throughout her time on the reality show, but in her memoir, My Good Side , she named names. Shay wrote that Shemar Moore, Jesse Metcalfe, John Mayer, two actors from The Notebook, and more are all on the list of her celebrity hookups. 

Jennette McCurdy’s memoir was called I’m Glad My Mom Died, and that was just the tip of the iceberg that was her honesty. McCurdy revealed that someone at Nickelodeon, whom she dubbed “The Creator,” was cruel on set, prompting adults to cry and inciting fear in children. 

In The First Time, Cher’s memoir, the mononymous singer dug into the dark moments of her marriage to Sonny Bono. At one time during their union, Cher contemplated taking her own life.

Celebrities do drugs, but it’s always intriguing to get the exact details. Josh Brolin gave the people what they wanted by revealing in his memoir, From Under the Truck, that he once had a 12-hour acid trip.

The actress shared that while she was a teenager, she went on a boat in Florida with other Scientologists, and she was thrown overboard. Such, apparently, was a common occurrence for low-ranking members in the religion.
