
From Avatar: The Last Airbender to Fallout, Magic: The Gathering has been pumping out some pretty sweet sets lately. And they’re keeping the ball rolling into 2026. December gave us a sneak peak at some of the incredible Marvel Super Heroes Commander sets yet to come, spotlighting The Fantastic Four, The Thunderbolts*, and others. At the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany, Magic launched a special preview of nine brand new Commander decks between June’s Marvel Super Heroes and April’s Secrets of Strixhaven sets. On top of the three we already know, that brings the total to 12 awesome new decks to look forward to in 2026. Let’s break it down.
The December preview gave us a pretty good idea of what to expect for this collaboration. Magic describes the release as an “epic crossover filled with legendary characters, powerful abilities, and the unmistakable energy of comic book storytelling.” The drop brings a ton of new cards, spotlighting characters like Mr. Fantastic, The Sentry, Quicksilver, and Doctor Doom. That’s just to name a few. As outlined at GameSpot, the four Marvel Super Heroes decks are as follows:

Before worlds collide between Marvel superheroes and villians alike, Magic will launch five brand new Secrets of Strixhaven Commander decks. Embarking on a journey of magical proportions, each color combo represents one of the five colleges at the magical school. Here’s what you can expect from each deck:

In addition to the nine new decks, both sets will have play, collector boosters, and special bundles. Secrets of Strixhaven gets a Codex Bundle with six play boosters, two collector boosters, and a two-card codex booster pack. The Marvel Super Heroes set also has a gift bundle. That includes a collector booster, promo cart with exclusive art, play booster packs, foil lands, and a spindown die. The set also includes two scene boxes: Heroes United and Villains Unleashed.
