We are obsessed with Netflix’s live-action One Piece here at Nerdist. So we’re incredibly glad to see any sneak peek we can from the upcoming season. Though we don’t yet know when One Piece season two will release, we do know it will premiere sometime in 2026. And wildly enough, 2026 is JUST around the corner. Netflix seems to think so, too, since it’s ramping up our teases for the series. Recently, we saw live-action One Piece‘s first teaser trailer. The trailer contained many insane first looks at Smoker, Miss Wednesday, and more. Now, Netflix is giving us new footage from One Piece season two that focuses more on the original Straw Hat Pirates: Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp.
This new look at One Piece season two also reminds us what the series is all about: chasing your dreams no matter what life throws at you. That’s our favorite part of One Piece, so we feel glad to see it back again. This teaser trailer for One Piece doesn’t tell us too much more about the story we’ll see, but it does let us know the Straw Hat Pirates are a real team and family this season, and they’ll be leaning on one another. We can’t wait to see it. (Especially more of Zoro and Sanji’s shenanigans, please!)
Netflix’s live-action One Piece is already renewed for season three. That means One Piece season two can take its time a little. In this new footage from One Piece season two, we feel like we see glimpses of the the Loguetown arc, as well as Whiskey Peak. Other arcs we know the season will adapt include Little Garden, Reverse Mountain, and Drum Island. It feels like this season will contain many interconnecting stories before taking us toward One Piece‘s Alabasta arc, which will likely unfold before us in season three.
Netflix has also revealed the synopsis for the series, which shares, “Netflix’s epic high-seas pirate adventure, ONE PIECE, returns for Season 2—unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.“
One Piece season two will release in 2026. Time for us to get our straw hats ready to set sail. In the meantime, you can catch season one streaming on Netflix. If you’re trying to catch up on the anime, that’s also available on Netflix. Make sure to utilize our guide on how to watch One Piece without filler episodes.
