New to Apple TV in August 2026

After more than three years, Ted Lasso returns for Season 4 in August 2026, and it’s one of the several movies and TV shows coming to Apple TV (Sign up for a free trial).

Ted Lasso’s return is the biggest title coming to Apple TV in August. It puts a spin on the story after Ted returned home at the end of Season 3.

He will now coach a second division women’s football team. Jason Sudeikis returns as the title character, while Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, and Brett Goldstein also return.

The series has been one of Apple TV’s biggest hits since the streaming service launched in 2019, premiering shortly after in 2020. It has won several awards, from Emmys to Golden Globes.

The last three episodes of the Anya Taylor-Joy-led Lucky miniseries are also coming in August. A documentary about the UConn Huskies’ dynasty, aptly titled The Dynasty, is coming out, too. It is similar to the Dynasty documentary series about the New England Patriots that came out in 2024.
