Phoebe Bridgers released the music video for "I Can't Wait" on Friday, Aug. 14, the same day her third solo album, "Lost Weekend," arrived through Dead Oceans. It is the second video released from the album, following "Lost Boys" in June.

Directed by Chris Maggio and Pablo Rochat, the video takes viewers through Los Angeles from the perspective of a housefly. The fly lands on people's faces, chases light sources, explores the inside of a guitar and is occasionally swatted at along the way.

Bridgers appears throughout the video, including a scene in which she catches the fly in her hands. Another sequence shows her driving at night with her dog, Maxine, as the fly follows behind.

"I Can't Wait" is the 14th track on "Lost Weekend," a 16-song album that marks Bridgers' first solo full-length since 2020's "Punisher." The song credits backing vocals from an artist identified as "Son-John Johnson."

Rolling Stone reported that some listeners believe the voice may belong to Geese frontman Cameron Winter. Winter has not confirmed his involvement. When asked about the speculation, he told the publication that he would "have to contact my lawyer," stopping short of confirming or denying the connection.

The video arrives during a larger rollout for "Lost Weekend," which included planetarium listening events in the days leading up to the album's release. Bridgers will begin the phone-free Lost Tour on Sept. 15 in Indianapolis. Alex G is scheduled to open the North American shows.
