Ridley Scott's not done in the Alien universe, it seems, as a brand new interview with The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the man behind the franchise is developing a new Alien film following the success of Alien: Romulus in the summer.
What exactly the movie is about and who will participate in it, however, are a mystery, but this news comes off the back of the recent announcement that an Alien: Romulus sequel is in the works from Fede Alvarez.
Alvarez's entry to Scott's universe opened to critical acclaim, taking over $350.7 million at the box office during its theatrical run.
Alien: Romulus was made on an $80 million budget, and Alvarez says, "There's no green screen" in the film, a choice which paid off in folds for how wonderful the practical effects were throughout.
Ridley Scott has a multitude of projects on his upcoming slate, with the most recent of those, Gladiator II, releasing later this month.
Beyond the Colosseum, Scott has an exciting selection of films he's prepping to direct, including his next project, You Should Be Dancing, a biopic about The Bee Gees, one of the biggest-selling musical groups of all time.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the project will begin shooting at the top of 2025.
