Sabrina Carpenter announces new album, 'Man's Best Friend'

The singer continued to share, "I went back to some of my favorite artists growing up listening to a lot of Stevie, Dolly, Donna etc and was surprised to find so many of those artists I loved put out a new record every year for a long time. Can't say that is or will be the norm for me but this time it really eased my mind about putting something out when it feels right! I am endlessly grateful to you who is reading this for your trust in me, and I can't wait to share these stories with you!"

This comes after the recent release of "Manchild," which she wrote "on a random tuesday with amy and jack not too long after finishing short n’ sweet," adding that "it ended up being the best random tuesday of my life."

On Instagram, she expressed, "not only was it so fun to write, but this song became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life. it sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never ending road trip in the summer ! hence why i wanted to give it to you now- so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long!"

"Manchild" was also accompanied by an official music video! Man's Best Friend drops on August 29.
