Sabrina Carpenter Drops Latest Single ‘Manchild’ After Immense Wait

Sabrina Carpenter is at it again! The pint-sized blonde bombshell just dropped a brand new song just in time for the summer. “Manchild” is her latest release, which she dropped on Thursday, June 5, to fans who have been excitedly waiting for some new music. Just like last year when she released her summer hit “Espresso,” Sabrina is hoping that this new track will follow in its footsteps and become the song of the summer.

Sabrina Carpenter Drops A New Song

“Manchild” is a brand-new song from Sabrina Carpenter that is the embodiment of her brand. We know that she loves to put men in their place and sing about her true feelings toward the opposite sex… and this isn’t a cheesy love song that’s for sure. With lyrics like, “Oh, I like my boys playin’ hard to get / And I like my men all incompetent,” it’s definitely a Sabrina Carpenter signature song.

While it hasn’t been confirmed just yet, a lot of her fans are speculating that “Manchild” is the first single of her next album. While we’re not sure if this is just going to be a song of the summer or if it’s the start of a new album and a new era, we’re just going to enjoy how catchy “Manchild” really is.

Another Hit On Her Hands?

While it’s clear from the very first listen that this new song is extremely catchy, it’s definitely going to be a hit. Sabrina gave fans a look at what went into the new song, posting a lengthy explanation on her Instagram.

“I wrote ‘Manchild’ on a random Tuesday with Amy and Jack not too long after finishing Short N’ Sweet, and it ended up being the best random Tuesday of my life,” said.

“Not only was it so fun to write, but this song became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life,” she continued.

“It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll, and it feels like a never-ending road trip in the summer! Hence why I wanted to give it to you now – so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long!”

Fans are already loving the new song and are excited for more. In fact, Sabrina also revealed that the music video for “Manchild” will be released on Friday.
