It was revealed in January that Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler would team up on a secret new film, and we now have our first sneak peek at what we can expect in the form of an intense first trailer that raises more questions than answers.
Titled Sinners, details on the project have been kept under lock and key – with the only description floating around being that it is a "period thriller centering on vampires".
Now, our first look gives some clues on what's to come with Michael B. Jordan starring as twin brothers trying to leave behind their troubled lives and return to their hometown to start fresh, but they quickly discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
A succession of enigmatic imagery leads us on the path with Jordan as we come face to face with those he meets along the way but leave just as hungry for information as we arrived.
Joining Jordan in the cast are Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O'Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo.
Coogler re-teams with director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter, with Coogler's frequent collaborators Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler serving as producers.
Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho executive produce.
Sinners is set to hit theaters on March 7, 2025.
