The fourth season of Ryan Murphy's "Monster" series has its star

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan's anthology series "Monster," which focuses on notorious killers, has been a hit, and an Emmy darling. The first season about Jeffrey Dahmer won Emmys and there will likely be more awards coming at the upcoming Emmys for the second season, which focused on the infamous Menendez brothers. The third season hasn't debuted yet, but it's about Ed Gein, largely seen as the inspiration for Leatherface and potentially even Norman Bates in "Psycho."

The fourth season of the show already has a centerpiece. That would be Lizzy Borden, making this season a period piece. The Borden character, and some other key folks, have been cast, and it is not surprising they have all appeared in other Murphy projects.

Ella Beatty is graduating from a secondary role in Murphy's "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans" to play Borden. That show was her television debut, so Murphy must have been happy with her work. While not super famous on-screen, she is semi-famous off it as the daughter of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening. They are famous, successful actors who have nine Oscar nominations for acting between them. Ella's path to professional acting was not a tricky one.

Vicky Krieps, who is also in the upcoming "Monsters" season we have yet to see, will play the Borden family maid. Lastly, Rebecca Hall, who taught us that Kong bows to no one, is playing Borden's stepmother. Things didn't turn out great for her.

Murphy has never struggled to cast his projects, and people like his salacious tales of violent crime, be they "American Horror Stories" or "Monster" stories. Expect at least one person from this cast to get an Emmy nomination.
