These celebrities have dated billionaires

Rihanna is now a billionaire, but before achieving that status, she dated Hassan Jameel, a Saudi businessman. RiRi wasn’t too forthcoming about her relationship while she was with Jameel, but the two were spotted vacationing in luxurious locales like Spain and Italy. The two were together for about three years before parting ways, and Rihanna has since entered a relationship and had a child with rapper A$AP Rocky. 

Having billions would be nice, but as Naomi Campbell’s ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin proved, insane amounts of money don’t make you any less prone to petty behavior. Post-breakup, Doronin sued Campbell for $3 million. In his defense, it was a countersue as Campbell first sued him in an effort to retrieve some of her belongings. Even still, it seems like a lot of effort for someone who literally has a billion dollars. 

When you’re a world-famous supermodel, your dating pool opens exponentially compared to the rest of the population, and Linda Evangelista has apparently chosen to date some of the wealthiest of that pool. Not only has she dated the super-wealthy Peter Morton of Hard Rock Cafe fame, but she also dated and had a child with billionaire François-Henri Pinault. She must have a type. 

Mariah Carey doesn’t need to date someone with wealth. She’s got enough of her own. But her confession that she never had a physical relationship with her billionaire ex-fiance James Packer certainly begs the question if she was only interested in his finances. In her defense, she claims to have only had sexual relations with a few of the men she’s dated. 

Julia Fox once noted that she’s used to dating billionaires. And while we don’t know the extent of her dating history, she once dated a high-profile (former) billionaire, Kanye West. Before the rapper lost the bulk of his fortune and was demoted from billionaire back to lowly multi-millionaire, he and Fox shared a whirlwind romance that catapulted the actress to the level of fame she’s at now.

Because Nicole Kidman had been in a loving relationship with her husband, Keith Urban, for so long, it’s hard to imagine her with anyone else. But prior to her second marriage, the Australian actress dated the late Steve Bing, though it wasn’t for long. Like Ye, Bing was only a billionaire for a brief period of time. 

Amber Heard fell on tough financial times when she was slapped with a legal settlement she reportedly couldn’t afford. Years prior to that, however, she was dating a billionaire. In between her relationship and legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, Heard dated Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk. They weren’t together long, but some suspected Musk would appear in the Depp-Heard lawsuit. 

Strangely, the most interesting part of Paris Hilton’s relationship with her second fiance was not that he’s a billionaire, but rather that his name is also Paris. Hilton and Paris Latsis weren’t engaged for long, but rumor has it the billionaire offered the heiress 15 different engagement rings to choose from. Hilton is now married to Carter Reum, and the two share a child. 

It’s one thing to date a billionaire, but it’s another thing entirely to marry one. After splitting from ex-husband Orlando Bloom, supermodel Miranda Kerr married Snapchat co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, a man who was a billionaire by age 25. Let that information marinate the next time you feel you haven’t accomplished anything. 

Elle Macpherson could probably bag any man she wants. And clearly, she wanted billionaires. Macpherson shares two children with Arpad Busson, a French financier (though he probably wasn’t a billionaire yet when the two were together). She was married to Jeffery Soffer, a real estate mogul. Neither relationship stuck, so Macpherson will have to exist off her multi-million dollar fortune instead. 

The 2000s were a unique time to be alive. They introduced us to the concept of people becoming famous for being famous, and pop culture hasn’t been the same since. One such individual was Brandon Davis, heir to an oil fortune. He famously dated Mischa Barton at the height of her O.C. fame.

Talulah Riley wasn’t married to a billionaire just once. She was married to a billionaire twice. Granted, it was the same billionaire, Elon Musk, but still, it counts. Riley and Musk were together off and on for about eight years, but she isn’t responsible for any of Musk’s 10 children. 

Someone responsible for two of Elon Musk’s 10 children is Grimes. The singer and the businessman were together for a few years, and the most notable detail of their former relationship is that they named their first child X Æ A-XII. At least his dad is a billionaire. 

When you’re a billionaire, you’re busy, and you apparently don’t have time to tell your spouse in person that you’d like a divorce. At least that was the case for Rupert Murdoch. The media tycoon reportedly sent an email to his ex-wife Jerry Hall notifying her that their relationship was ending. Hopefully Hall cited emotional damage from the incident for a greater settlement in the divorce. 

Uma Thurman is proof that you don’t have to make every detail of your life public to have unbelievable things happen to you. The actress was nominated for an Oscar, had a song written about her, and dated a billionaire. She and Arpad Busson, Elle Macpherson’s ex, were together off and on for about 10 years, sharing two engagements and a daughter, but never marrying. 

Salma Hayek has been married to billionaire François-Henri Pinault since 2009, and the two share a child together. Prior to his engagement to Hayek, Pinault dated and had a child with Linda Evangelista, making Hayek’s daughter and Evangelista’s son half-siblings. Hollywood is a crazy place. 

Like Nicole Kidman, Elizabeth Hurley’s status as the ex-girlfriend of a billionaire is a bit shaky, but it’s there. The actresses share an ex, Steve Bing, though Hurley’s fling with the one-time billionaire resulted in a child. And said child has some of the coolest godfathers in the world, with David Beckham, Elton John, Dennis Leary, and Hugh Grant rounding out the crew. 

Jane Fonda spent most of the ‘90s married to billionaire Ted Turner, but the two split in 2001 after 10 years of marriage. It was rumored the divorce was due to her decision to become a Christian, but Turner debunked that claim in the memoir he wrote seven years later. The two are on good terms today. 

When Melania Trump began dating Donald Trump, she probably didn’t anticipate that one day she’d be First Lady of the United States. Now that he’s out of office, Melania can return to living the life of luxury afforded to those who marry billionaires.
