Streaming services have changed the game of watching sports, both for national and regional programming. Rather than committing to an expensive, lengthy cable plan, you’ve now got several options for keeping up with your local teams with a streaming plan that fits your budget.

With Bally Sports Midwest streaming, you can follow popular local teams like MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals, the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, and the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers. The only question is which streaming service or app offers the best way to do it. Read on to learn how to stream Bally Sports Midwest.

What is Bally Sports Midwest?

Bally Sports Midwest, formerly known as Fox Sports Midwest, is a regional sports network (RSN) owned by Diamond Sports Group. It’s the primary broadcast outlet for the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues, and it shares rights with Bally Sports Indiana and Bally Sports Southeast to stream some games for the Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies, respectively. You can find live games, pre-and post-game shows, and more content for these teams on the network and the Bally Sports app.

Which streaming services offer Bally Sports Midwest?

The future of streaming Bally Sports networks is somewhat in limbo, as Diamond Sports Group is in bankruptcy proceedings, and Amazon recently announced plans to invest in the company. It’s unclear what this will mean for how to watch Bally Sports Midwest in years to come, but here’s where you can find the network on live TV streaming platforms today.

What sports offerings does DIRECTV STREAM provide?

Although you’ll find a few national sports networks on the basic Entertainment plan, sports streamers will find much more value in the Choice plan or higher. This plan will get you Bally Sports Midwest, plus more than 15 major sports networks like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPNU, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Big Ten Network, MLB Network, NBA TV and NFL Network.

The Choice plan gives you access to some of the best events in pro and collegiate sports, along with key matchups for your local teams. From March Madness to the World Series, there’s live action to keep you entertained all year long. All plans include unlimited cloud DVR storage space and no caps on simultaneous streaming at home.

DIRECTV STREAM is one of the more expensive streaming platforms, but it’s a great way to get all your favorite sports in one place, alongside plenty of other entertainment on the most popular cable networks. Unlike Fubo, which we’ll cover below, DIRECTV STREAM isn’t missing key networks like TBS, TNT, BBC and CNN.  If you’re unsure about it, you can give DIRECTV STREAM a five-day free trial.

What sports offerings does Fubo provide?

Fubo is a feast for sports fans. Even with no upgrades, you’ll get Bally Sports Midwest alongside loads of national coverage on major networks like beIN Sports, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NFL Network, CBS Sports Network, Big Ten Network and SEC Network. Whether you want to catch the next Blues game, watch the Super Bowl, or tune into the latest in European soccer, there’s plenty to choose from on Fubo.

It’s easy to add more with upgrades or add-ons, too. The Elite plan includes even more pro and college sports on channels like NBA TV, NHL Network, MLB Network and ACCN. For $10.99 a month, you can add the Sports Plus add-on to get NFL RedZone, MLB Strike Zone, ESPNU, Tennis Channel, Pac-12 Network and more.

Compared to DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo offers more sports networks, not to mention more channels overall. However, it’s worth noting that Fubo doesn’t carry a few big names, such as TBS, TNT, BBC and CNN. It also limits DVR storage to 1,000 hours and simultaneous streams to 10 at home. Nonetheless, Fubo is the reigning champ of sports streaming for the breadth of live action it offers. You can try it for free for up to seven days.

How to watch Bally Sports Midwest on the app

Bally Sports also offers an app for mobile and streaming devices, and you can use it for Bally Sports Midwest streaming. To do so, you have two options. First, you can log in with a subscription to a live TV streaming service or cable/satellite provider that carries Bally Sports Midwest. This will give you full access to everything you’d find through your provider.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to Bally Sports Plus and watch select content through the app. This option is slightly more limited, as the St. Louis Cardinals aren’t available via Bally Sports Plus. Bally Sports Plus subscriptions start at $19.99 a month (with a seven-day free trial), and annual or season-only plans are available. The app is available on iOS and Android devices, along with Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung TV, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
