Lewis Hamilton ‘s upcoming F1 movie rumored to be called ‘Apex’ has been in progress for a long time. The 39-year-old will work with Brad Pitt as the star of the movie with Apple spearheading production. The film’s shooting is going on in full-swing mode as the crew reaches multiple racing venues for the shooting. Now, some sources have drawn a rough estimate of the cost of the film.

Lewis Hamilton‘s production company ‘Dawn Apollo Films’ will shoot Brad Pitt-starring film bringing F1 to new audiences. Multiple people from the movie crew, including Pitt and Tim Cook have already visited the F1 grid for shooting purposes. Pitt and Hamilton went wheel to wheel at the Silverstone GP in 2023 in modified F2 cars for a scene in the film.

According to Puck, the budget of the film has been set at an astonishing $300 Million. This cost for the film puts it just outside the Top 10 most expensive films in the world. The reason for such a high cost of this film is due to using real-life Formula 1 cars and shooting at real racing venues. However, the shooting for the movie was delayed a lot due to the Hollywood Actor’s Guild Strike. A final release date for the film hasn’t been revealed yet as the crew rushes to complete the film.

Producing the movie has been a big dream of the seven-time world champion. Hamilton and Apple will have to incur heavy losses if the movie fails to live upto expectations . The 39-year-old has definitely been ambitious with the film, especially involving Brad Pitt. Hence, the film will have to make some remarkable numbers to break even for the movie cost. Usually, movies need to make more than twice the amount of the budget to steer clear of any losses.

Hence, this means that Lewis Hamilton’s movie must reach at least $750 Million to $900 Million to break even for the budget. The movie would surely be a hit as the shooting looks promising after the involvement of such big companies. The 39-year-old has raised the standards of the Formula 1 driver after embarking on such an impressive goal.

A majority of the current Formula 1 fans will continue to stay highly excited about the release of the film. If the movie turns out to be a huge success, it could be monumental for F1. Netflix’s Drive to Survive has proven what a good docuseries for the movie could do for the sport. Hence, the entire F1 community will excitedly waiting to watch this highly anticipated film.
