Barrett-Jackson gearing up to auction off four cars for charity

Continuing to not only touch the hearts of every car enthusiast, but those in need will receive the support that they deserve at the 2024 Barrett Jackson Scottsdale collective car auction.

Throughout the nine days of this event (Jan. 20-28), there will be four cars up for auction that the total bid amount goes to different charities.

Cars for Charity

2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ | Auction Date: Jan. 25

All proceeds will go to The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation, a charity revolving around amyloidosis. They spread awareness of the disease, early detection of it, help others living or impacted by it and for scientific research to find a cure.

1968 Shelby GT350 | Auction Date: Jan. 26

This car’s highest bid is for current students at Northeast Texas Community College who are in their Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.

2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon | Auction Date: Jan. 27 

100 percent of the donation for this customized Jeep will head to Building Homes for Heroes, an charity who builds or renovates homes with no mortgage for injured veterans and first responders.

2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse | Auction Date: Jan 27

Same day as the Gladiator, the first 2024 Mustang Dark Horse edition was donated by Ford in a collaboration with JDRF, an organization who revolves around type 1 diabetes. JDRF will receive the proceeds for this masterpiece that will be a hot commodity in Scottsdale.

Helping Hand

Over the years, Barrett-Jackson has raised in excess of $154 million from bidders who show the compassion and desire to help others less fortunate.

When sharing his thoughts on the charitable side of each event, Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis stated that spreading awareness of each charity means so much to him.

“For us, we do so many things and that’s what makes you so proud about what we’ve have been able to accomplish,” Davis said about charity. “We get a lot of attention and that is important to harness that energy and that excitement and attention. Not only create the excitement of the car world that takes place on the auction block, but to be able to touch the lives of particular are men and women in uniform, children’s charities, the things that we’ve been able to do, it’s fulfilling.”

Davis believes that bidders jacking up the price of a car makes him ecstatic, especially if it is going to a good cause.

“Looking back going on 35 years now or even longer with Barrett-Jackson, that is one of the most significant and validating things that we have to be proud of.” Davis said. “Car prices and the coolest of the cars is awesome in that moment is an amazing, magical thing to have place on the auction block. But when you are literally touching the lives of people around the world not only by the donation, but by the awareness that we created, particularly with our military, it is fulfilling in so many ways. It’s a real honor.”
