Lando Norris suffered from an ill-fated outing at the Dutch GP after suffering from a DNF. Norris had already lost the pole position start to Oscar Piastri and had crushing hopes of a race win. However, in the final stages of the race, the Briton’s challenger had an oil leak in the engine, and he had to immediately call it quits. As such, the 25-year-old reveals his plans to uplift his mood after a disappointing outing at Zandvoort.
Lando Norris is already too critical of himself and his mistakes. However, the adversities at the Dutch GP were out of Norris’ control, and he had not committed any major mistake in the main race. Still, the Briton did lose his lead in the very beginning of the race to Max Verstappen. He regained the spot later on in the race and could’ve finished in P2 at best.
Speaking of the disappointing circumstances at the Dutch GP, Lando Norris did not have much to say. Norris was already feeling low and did not comment much on the matter. Still, the Briton pointed out that he just wanted to get a burger and then return to his home.
Lando Norris insisted that he and McLaren had the pace in them to score great results in Zandvoort. He added that he was quick on the track and possessed great speed. Regardless, Norris made an ‘its life’ remark on the incident and took it to the chin and hoped for better times in the coming races.
Just want to go out for a burger and go home. The pace was there, I was quick today. It’s life, I take it on the chin and move on.

Following the DNF at the Dutch GP, Lando Norris is now trailing the championship leader Oscar Piastri by 34 points as opposed to the nine-point difference ahead of the race. With just nine more races to go, Norris will have to work extremely hard and trump his Australian counterpart on multiple races just to match him in the standings. As such, the 25-year-old geared up for a difficult outing in the coming races.
Lando Norris insisted that the DNF was indeed frustrating as he couldn’t do anything in the matter. He acknowledged that he walked out of the race weekend with unhappy feelings. Regardless, Norris pointed out that he would have to keep fighting and make all the difference on the track. The 25-year-old declared that he had tough competition, especially against Oscar Piastri, as he will have to keep fighting.
It is frustrating, it’s not like I’m happy. I just have to keep fighting. I have tough competition so it is never going to be easy.

McLaren’s pace is clearly superior as compared to the rest of the rivals on the grid. The team has enabled both Piastri and Norris to enjoy their lead on the track. Still, the Briton is unable to keep up with the winning pace, without even his fault at times. Hence, it will be interesting to now witness how the 25-year-old bounces back from the woes this weekend and performs at the upcoming Italian GP.
