How Many F1 Races Are Left for 2025 Season After U.S. GP Results?

The 2025 Formula 1 season is entering its final stretch. After Max Verstappen's victory at the United States Grand Prix, only five races remain, setting the stage for a thrilling battle for the World Drivers' Championship.

At the Circuit of the Americas, Lando Norris edged out Charles Leclerc for second place, while Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri rounded out the top five. The results not only shook up the podium but also intensified the title fight heading into the season's decisive phase.

With the dust now settling in Austin's COTA, one question is on every F1 fan's mind: how many races remain in the 2025 season, and what can they mean for the championship?

F1 Schedule: Remaining Races After US GP in Austin

The COTA race marked the end of round 19 of 24, leaving just five venues on the 2025 calendar. These remaining races will be crucial for the championship leaders: Piastri, Norris, and Verstappen.

Here are the venues and dates for the final five races that are left:

Round 20: Mexico City Grand Prix at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez (Oct. 24-26)
Round 21: Brazilian Grand Prix at Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo (Nov. 7-9)
Round 22: Las Vegas Grand Prix at Las Vegas Street Circuit (Nov. 20-22)
Round 23: Qatar Grand Prix at Lusail International Circuit (Nov. 28-30)
Round 24: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit (Dec. 5-7; season finale)

Besides the normal practice, qualifying, and race days, two more sprint races remain for the 2025 F1 season. One at the São Paulo Grand Prix and the other at the Qatar Grand Prix, giving drivers more chances of securing additional points for the World Drivers' Championship.

How Can Max Verstappen Win the 2025 World Drivers' Championship?

The top three drivers currently are: Oscar Piastri (McLaren) with 346 points, Lando Norris (McLaren) with 332 points, and Max Verstappen (Red Bull) with 306 points.

The Red Bull driver sits 40 points behind Piastri and 26 behind Norris. With 141 points still available across the remaining five races, Verstappen's path to a fifth title is clear but challenging:

Winning all five races would earn 125 points.
Winning four and finishing second in one would give 121 points.
It all depends on Piastri's results.

"The Flying Dutchman" has won three of the last four races, indicating great momentum in recent form. Still, consistency and avoiding mistakes will be critical. With two sprint races remaining, maximizing extra points opportunities could make the difference in clinching the championship.

In summary, while the title fight remains open, Verstappen's success will depend on winning consistently, capitalizing on every point, and staying error-free. Every race from Mexico City to Abu Dhabi will be pivotal in deciding the 2025 World Drivers' Championship.
