For Isack Hadjar, the Dutch Grand Prix podium celebration did not go to plan. After finishing third in Zandvoort, the French rookie’s joy was cut short when his hard-earned first F1 trophy broke during post-race team celebrations.
This week at Monza, Hadjar’s story took a brighter turn. Renowned Dutch ceramic maker Royal Delft Blue, which crafted the original Dutch GP trophies, stepped in to create a replacement.
The hand-delivered gift was presented to Hadjar at the back of the garage, where a small crowd gathered to witness the lighthearted moment.
According to renowned F1 photographer, Kym Illman, when a Dutch reporter pointed out that Hadjar now had “two trophies,” the 20-year-old couldn’t resist correcting him with a smile: ”Well, actually three, because the first one is now in two pieces.”
The scene captured Hadjar’s growing popularity in the paddock, where his mix of speed, humor, and humility has made him a fan favorite.
The broken trophy has become something of a viral talking point, and this unexpected replacement at Monza adds another chapter to the story.

Hadjar, who has impressed in his rookie campaign with consistent points finishes and flashes of brilliance, will be hoping to add more silverware to his growing collection in Italy. But for now, he can laugh at the irony of already having “three” Dutch GP trophies — one intact and one in two pieces.
For a rising star still carving in Formula1, moments like these show not just the grit needed on track, but the personality that wins over fans off it.
