Lewis Hamilton has delivered a raw and honest reflection on one of the most challenging periods of his illustrious Formula 1 career, admitting his longest spell without a podium finish weighs on him every day.

Speaking to reporters of the Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton was asked about going through more races without a podium than at any other point in his 17-year F1 career.

The question was blunt: “Lewis, you’ve never had so many races without a podium in your career. Does it bother you?”

Hamilton didn’t hesitate: “Of course it does. I think about it every day.”

The seven-time world champion’s response underlines the competitive spirit that has defined his career. From 2007 to 2021, Hamilton consistently fought at the front, breaking records for wins and championships.

But since Formula 1’’s shift to ground-effect regulations in 2022, Mercedes has struggled to match Red Bull’s dominance, leaving Hamilton battling in the midfield on multiple weekends.

Despite the drought, Hamilton has remained committed to the fight, praising his Ferrari switch for 2025 as a new chapter aimed at returning to championship contention. His candid admission shows the emotional toll of not competing for podiums but also his relentless drive to get back on top.

For fans, the quote offers a rare glimpse into Hamilton’s mindset during a difficult stretch, proving that even legends of the sport feel the weight of tough times.
