Shortly after the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend got underway, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton received exciting news, not from the F1 paddock, but from Hollywood.

The British racing icon’s latest project with Brad Pitt, F1: The Movie, has earned a nomination for the 2026 Grammy Awards in the category Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

The nomination recognizes the film’s official soundtrack, F1: The Album, which is credited to various artists.

From Track to Red Carpet

The F1 film, co-produced by Hamilton through his company Dawn Apollo Films, marks one of the biggest crossovers between Formula 1 and Hollywood in recent memory.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for Top Gun: Maverick, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film stars Brad Pitt as a veteran F1 driver making a comeback alongside a rookie teammate.

Filming took place during real Grand Prix weekends in 2023 and 2024, with cameras capturing on-track sequences at Silverstone, Spa, and Las Vegas, blending real F1 racing action with cinematic storytelling.

Now, with F1: The Album receiving a Grammy nod, Hamilton and the production team have even more reason to celebrate during the Brazil GP.

The soundtrack competes in the same category as Wicked, A Complete Unknown (starring Timothée Chalamet), Sinners, and KPop Demon Hunters.

Lewis Hamilton’s Growing Hollywood Footprint

Hamilton, who served as both producer and racing consultant for the film, is looking to do more in his Hollywood venture. Talking about his upcoming projects, he said, "I love comedy, and I’ve got a particular idea for a television show. I’m working on a couple of animation movie ideas."

“It’s not about doing lots and lots of projects, it’s more like Quentin Tarantino does it, quality rather than quantity,” the 40-year-old driver added.

The Grammy nomination adds yet another achievement to Hamilton’s growing list of off-track successes, reinforcing his influence far beyond Formula 1.

As he gears up to race at Interlagos this weekend, the British driver has more than just on-track battles on his mind, as his efforts to bring Formula 1 to Hollywood have already made history.
