Coach Curt Cignetti continues to reconstruct Indiana's roster, this time landing Jah Jah Boyd, a defensive back in the class of 2024.

Boyd was originally committed to Cignetti at James Madison, but reopened his recruitment during the coaching change. He recently visited both Pittsburgh and Indiana, then announced his commitment to the Hoosiers on Monday afternoon.

He also received offers from Boston College, James Madison, Pittsburgh, Akron, UConn, Howard, Liberty, Old Dominion, Penn State, Temple, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Boyd has experience at cornerback, safety and wide receiver in high school, and he's projected to play defense in college. At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, Boyd attends Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pa.

Recruiting sites have differing opinions on Boyd as a prospect, as ESPN considers him a four-star prospect and ranked him No. 33 among athletes. However, the 247 Sports Composite gave Boyd a three-star label and ranked him No. 1,241 overall and No. 123 among safeties in the class of 2024. He's ranked No. 1,338 overall by On3, and Rivals gave Boyd a two-star ranking.

Boyd is the 17th member of Indiana's 2024 recruiting class, which has gained several new commitments in the last few weeks. To view the full class, CLICK HERE.
